Ajay Kumar — Ex-Serviceman | 15 Years of Service | Indian Armed Forces
Ajay Kumar served in the Indian Armed Forces for 15 years. After retirement, he experienced the same problems every ex-serviceman faces — confusing SPARSH portal errors, unclear ECHS procedures, missed job quota opportunities, and no single reliable source of accurate information.
Official government websites are difficult to navigate on mobile. WhatsApp groups are full of unverified rumours. Most “defence welfare” websites are run by people who have never worn a uniform.
Rakesh built Exservicemen.in in September 2024 to fix exactly this — using his 15 years of firsthand armed forces experience to create a portal that gives real answers to real problems, in simple language every veteran can understand.
Why Exservicemen.in Was Created
Every year, thousands of ex-servicemen miss out on ECHS benefits, pension entitlements, and government job quotas — not because they are not eligible, but because the information is scattered, confusing, or simply not available in one place.
Exservicemen.in was created in September 2024 with one mission:
To give every Indian veteran free, accurate, and easy-to-understand information about their rights and benefits — without any middlemen.
